Falken Reynolds

We are lucky enough at Inform to work with a wide breadth of Architects, Interior Designers and Decorators. All too often though, we don’t get to see where the beautiful objects we procure end up. So we are thrilled when we get to see how the talented clients we work with have created unique interiors filled with interesting and special pieces.

One such project that we are lucky enough to have images shared with us from this beautiful multi-level dwelling on the West side of Vancouver. It has a distinctly Northern European aesthetic, combined with some of the touches we have come to expect from the designer-duo Chad Falkenberg and Kelly Reynolds of Falken Reynolds.

Perhaps it’s because Chad and Kelly lived very different professional lives in their past (cowboy and Navy sailor!) that they approach each project in a unique and personal way. Trying to understand who the client really is, so that they might be able to translate it into a comfortable dwelling, means every project is different, while always being true to their clean and practical aesthetic.

Filled with natural light, with light wood floors and graphic black detailing throughout, this home is meant to be a cosy family getaway – right in the middle of the city.

The elegant layers of soft materials with multiple shades of grey, underscored by bold black details pulls this house out of the ordinary. There are a variety of cosy reading nooks (indoor and outdoor) from which to choose from, and nothing has been left to chance.

This is a house that begs to be used – it is a vehicle for living, but it’s one that’s going to look awesome through it all.
