Marcel Wanders is originally from Boxtel, Holland and graduated from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988. Wanders’ fame started with his Knotted Chair, which he produced for Droog in 1996(image right).

He has designed for B&B Italia, Poliform, Moroso, Flos, Boffi, Cappellini, and Moooi, founded in 2000, of which he is also art director and co-owner.

Kitchens are no longer function alone. K2 is a single block and self-standing unit.
In 1963 Italian designer Joe Colombo created a kitchen for Boffi that embodied the futuristic efficiency, that was part of an increasingly mobile client.
Boffi’s mini kitchen was a cube on wheels, housing the three fundamental functions; cooking, storage and refrigeration – all in less than one cubic meter (11 cubic feet).
