Jean-Marie Massaud

France 1966

Born in Toulouse, France in 1966, Jean-Marie Massaud graduated from Les Ateliers-Ecole Nationale Superieure de Creation Industrelle in Paris in 1990. The young Massaud started his design career working for a number of design consultancies in both Europe and Asia, before launching his own firm in Paris in 1994, concentrating on industrial and interior design.

Considered one of the freshest designers working today, Massaud counts Poltrona Frau, B&B Italia, Porro, Cassina, Offect and Axor, amongst many others, as his manufacturing partners.

Most recently influenced by the American golden age, and specifically, the aura surrounding America's first family, the Kennedys, Massaud channeled the era's sophisticated elegance into his latest collection for Poltrona Frau, realizing pieces such as the Kennedee sofa, Jackie bed, Bob tables and Dondo rocker.
